Description:

Fortives' Qualitrol Corporation is seeking a Global Director of Materials to drive excellence in Supplier Quality, On-Time Delivery, and Inventory Management. This role has ultimate responsibility for supply chain matters at Qualitrol's four global facilities. Qualitrol has $60M in direct material spend with aggressive cost reduction and inventory targets annually.

This key role in the Qualitrol organization has significant responsibility, visibility and growth opportunity within operations and throughout Supply Chain Management in Fortive.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Ensure Materials organization is contributing to the quality, delivery, and cost targets of our plant. Cross Functionally manage & develop purchasing, scheduling, and logistics.
  • Solve materials problems that are negatively impacting production, quality, and delivery of products.
  • Pro-actively identify and implement opportunities to achieve PPV and other cost savings while also driving Low-Cost Region Sourcing PD initiatives.
  • Improve supplier fill rates, quality, lead times to fit product mix and needs.
  • Lead, Train and facilitate the upgrade of the KanBan system to improve Inventory turns and eliminate part shortages.
  • Interact with Fortive commodity managers to ensure best practices and greatest leverage in procurement, low cost region sourcing, supplier assessment & management.
  • Manage inventory at world class turn levels.

  • Willing to travel up to 40-60% as required.


EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • BS/BA Business, Engineering or equivalent field
  • Lean training and experience
  • 10+ years in materials management, sourcing, and supply chain or related fields
